Now Online: Raising the Alarm!

Our new exhibit, Raising the Alarm: Revolutionary Broadsides at the State Library, opened in mid-June! And while visitors to the State Library can see it Monday through Friday from 9:00 to 5:00 in the cases outside of our library, we are happy to share that the exhibit is now also available online to view at your convenience!

Celebrate MA 250 by exploring the Revolutionary period in Massachusetts through a selection of broadsides dating from 1773 to 1779. You'll also read about the Committees of Correspondence that were integral to the dissemination of news in colonial America, and learn more about some of the other 18th century materials found in our Special Collections Department.
