The Massachusetts Department of Education is no more. The new name is Department of Elementary & Secondary Education.
The Library recommends you search under both names when looking for documents.

New Casino Reports
The State Library has received three new reports on casinos:
Governor Deval Patrick and Secretary of the Executive Office of Housing and Economic Development Daniel O’Connell have issued: Destination Resort Casinos: Creating Jobs, Growing the Economy (PDF).
We also received a report commissioned by the Greater Boston Chamber of Commerce: Casino Gaming In Massachusetts: An Economic, Fiscal and Social Analysis (PDF).
And, finally, a report from The Innovation Group in New Orleans from May of 2007: Massachusetts Gaming Market Potential and Economic Impact Assessment : The Venetian Casino Resort.

Expanded Bill Histories On Instatrac
Instatrac, a legislative tracking service, recently added bill history information for the Massachusetts General Court dating back to the 1995-96 session. This additional material includes texts of bills and bill histories. The State Library offers onsite access to Instatrac.

Electronic Documents added
Several dozen new documents have been added to the library's electronic documents repository. Most of these documents are agency reports from the last 3 to 5 years.
